Who Is "The Wrestling Snob," & What Did He Learn Along The Way?

My name is Adam Leavelle, for years I was known as "The Wrestling Snob." I worked for many years on the indie scene as a commentator, and back stage interviewer, for companies such as  Legacy Wrestling, Ultimate Wrestling Experience, Pro Wrestling Empire, Lancaster Championship Wrestling, Atomic Championship Wrestling, Rouge Women Warriors, & MCW Pro Wrestling.  I wrote for numerous wrestling websites such as 411 Wrestling, Wrestling Inc. Pro Wrestling Ponderings, and Pro Wrestling Mania. I grew up loving Jim Crockett Promotions, Mid South Wrestling, World Class Wrestling, and The UWF. While I watched some WWF/E in my day, it's never been my style, or preference. Once WWE pretty much "took over" professional wrestling in America,  I went searching for an American wrestling company that I could label "Wrestling Done Right." Along the way I have made many friends in the wrestling business, and angered just as many, if not more, due to my particular tastes, and willingness to share those tastes publicly. Those tastes include a desire for good, intelligent, story lines, the desire to see good guys (faces) and bad guys (heels), the desire to see the selling of the moves being used in matches, and the desire for absolutely no out right embarrassing comedy spots, or wrestlers, that make you want to deny being a professional wrestling fan. I could only find this in America with Major League Wrestling and in Japan with Pro Wrestling Noah! As I clung to only two promotions, MLW fell to the wayside with their ridiculous addition of Micro Man in 2022. While I still very much enjoy Pro Wrestling Noah, I found myself feeling lonely, with so few American fans willing to subscribe to Wrestle Universe in order to completely follow Noah. Finally, I made the decision to simply embrace the one true American alternative to WWE, and that was All Elite Wrestling, AEW. While AEW doesn't meet all of my standards, all of the time, I just love professional wrestling too much to not follow a company. Shedding my "Wrestling Snob" persona, I embraced AEW as "my company" of choice and will cover it from a FANS perspective, not as a critic, not as a wannabe booker, and certainly not "hate watching." If you're a fan of AEW looking for a wrestling journalist that covers them as a FAN, then WDR is for you, welcome!
