Everyone is raving about Pro Wrestling Empire’s “Clash of the Titans” show, on October 22nd, in Harrisburg, Pa. at the Zembo Shrine. As well they should be, as their “Chamber of Hell” match (i.e. Hell in a cell) will be amazing, and if I’m correct, the only time an indy company has ever put on one of these matches. The Untouchable Kevin Murphy, and The Mercenary, will finally bring their several yearlong feud to a close inside this steel structure. Not only that, but every single PWE champion will be determined this night, as wrestlers like Eddie Smooth, Façade, Laszlo Arpad, Lufisto, Tessa Blanchard, and Matt Cross compete on a jam packed card. Myself and Chuck Ransford will be there representing “Legacy Wrestling” on commentary for their “featured match.” PWE and Legacy, having a close working relationship, lead to PWE owner Colin Bright asking Legacy to send two wrestlers to the show for a special spot on the card. Legacy chose Tony Deppen and John Silver for this unique opportunity. As good as the entire show is bound to be, let me tell you why you need to pay special attention to this featured match up. 2016 has been the year of Tony Deppen. He has stared, or main evented for Legacy Wrestling, On Point Wrestling, and Combat Zone Wrestling! While small in stature, Deppen is huge in charisma. Deppen has more personality than most indy workers, and every time this writer has seen him in action, he’s been big time over with the crowd. You can’t help but enjoy a Tony Deppen match. From the moment he storms through the curtain, scowl on his face, arms flailing about, you want to see what this angry guy is all about. His skill in the ring is second to none. Having been trained by Andy Harner, and Aaron Arbo, Deppen represents them well in every aspect of the business. John Silver, one half of the former CZW World tag team champion “Beaver Boys,” is also no giant, but like Deppen makes up for it in every possible way. My dad might say that he’s “built like a fireplug.” While that may be a great description, he’s actual fire inside a wrestling ring. Silver is fast, strong, and agile. Having worked for the touted “Pro Wrestling Guerilla” organization multiple times, proves to any hardcore wrestling fan (smark if you will) that Silver is the real deal. Silver has also worked for Ring of Honor, CHIKARA, and AIW. Today Silver is a headliner of the North Eastern powerhouse company “Beyond” wrestling. Silver has been ranked as high as #280 on the PWI Top 500, and will come into this featured match ready to show what he’s all about. These two men will wrestle “strong style” like no one else on the Clash of the Champions card can. They will tear into each other as if they were wrestling at Wrestlemania, for the biggest paycheck of their life, because that’s how these two men wrestle every match. That’s how anyone booked by Legacy wrestles every match. That’s why Legacy is special, and different, and that’s why PWE has decided to give them a “featured match” on their show of the year, in Harrisburg, Pa. on October 22nd, at the Zembo Shrine. Don’t sleep on this match, don’t use this time for a potty break, and don’t bet on any match having better odds of stealing the show more than this one has at “Clash of the Champions.” Tony Deppen vs John Silver will be “Wrestling Done Right!”
