David Starr began wrestling at the age of seven. In his high school career Starr finished third for all time wins on the mat with 92 of them! Starr ranked in the top 16 wrestlers in the Country, defeating five different State champions. He then went to Elizabethtown College on a wrestling scholarship, later transferring to West Chester, where he became an NCWA National Qualifier at 157 pounds. If there is anyone in professional wrestling that can legitimately say they are wrestling, it’s David Starr. Starr was then trained at the Wild Samoan School, and got his very first match only one month after starting that training, the fastest any student has ever been given a match from the Samoan’s.
Matthew Riddle was born in Pennsylvania but his family moved to New York where he captured a National Wrestling championship. He then attended East Stroudsburg University where he was a member of the wrestling team, but quickly moved on to MMA shortly after the wrestling coach was fired. Riddle found quick success in UFC, having one of the greatest knockouts of all time on the reality show “The Ultimate Fighter.” Riddle won numerous bouts in UFC, but left the organization with an impressive 9-3 record.
Now these two athletes, highly skilled and rising fast in the world of Pro Wrestling encounter one another at Legacy Wrestling on Saturday December 5th in Mannheim, Pennsylvania. Legacy, a wrestling organization known for its more realistic style, a rougher, or stiffer style of professional wrestling will showcase this match as one of the feature bouts, as it is sure to be an incredible contest. Starr, formally one half of “The Juicy Product” a highly decorated tag team with JT Dunn, is now determined to be just as successful as a singles competitor, and having recently won both the PPW and Rock Star championships, seems to be doing just that. Riddle, in his very young Pro Wrestling career, has already captured the Monster factory championship, had a WWE tryout, and then was shipped off to Evolve Wrestling at apparently the WWE’s request!
This Saturday come see Wrestling Done Right when David Starr and Matthew Riddle collide on their way to the top at Legacy Wrestling, Dangerous Encounters, Spooky Nook Sports Complex, Mannheim, Pa.
