The WWE is the McDonalds of professional wrestling. It's the Walmart of professional wrestling. Don't take this wrong, I eat at McDonalds, and get some things at Walmart from time to time, but I'd never argue that the best, most highest quality food, and merchandise belongs to those two companies. However, they are the most financially successful, they are the most popular. As is the WWE, for the same reasons. The WWE appeals to the lowest common denominator. WWE spends it time focusing on the "casual" fan, just like Walmart and McDonalds does with shoppers and diners. All of the restaurants in the picture here have much better food, and service than McDonalds does. These are Michelin starred restaurants in the United States, as such they have proven to have the best food in the Country. How many of you have heard of any of them? How many make as much money as McDonalds does? Likely none of them. In fact, I would guess most aren't even close. Just because something is more popular, and more financially successful does NOT mean what they have to offer is "the best." The best of something often only appeals to the most educated, those with the finest of tastes, and the willingness to go wherever they have to go in order to obtain it, to insist that only the finest will do, never settling for that which is below their standards. Those people are "wrestling snobs" just like we at WDR are. Call us "smarks" if you must, but you're just wrong. #Raiseyourstandards
